Description:
The GloFish Barb is a genetically enhanced variant of the Tiger Barb, featuring vibrant fluorescent colors that glow under blue LED lighting. Available in shades like Electric Green, Starfire Red, and Cosmic Blue, these energetic fish add a striking visual appeal to any aquarium. Their active nature and schooling behavior make them a lively addition to community tanks.

• Ease: Beginner-friendly but requires a well-maintained tank.

• Temperature: 72–82°F
• Hardness: Soft to moderately hard (5–12 dGH)

Tank Requirements:

• Minimum tank size: 20 gallons
• Best kept in groups of at least six to reduce fin-nipping tendencies
• Provide open swimming space with some plants or decorations for hiding

Temperament:

• Behavior: Active, semi-aggressive, and social

Compatibility:

• Can coexist with similarly sized, fast-moving fish like danios, rainbowfish, and other barbs
• Avoid keeping with slow-moving, long-finned species like bettas or angelfish due to potential fin-nipping
